Surfing at Main Beach

Learn to surf, home of Australia’s longest and safest beginner wave. This right hand sandy point break has rides on it’s best days over 1km long! This exclusive surf adventure away from the crowds is ideal for all levels, surf on super fun long waves with friends and family that will make your progression rewarding and fast.

Carlo Sand Blow

The Carlo Sand Blow is 15 hectares of sandy land that has been compared to a moonscape.

A short stroll from the car park (less than 10 minutes) will take you to the top of the dune. From there, you can go right to have a great view of Tin Can Bay – a perfect spot for sunset.

See the Coloured Sands

These huge striped dunes extend along the beach from the cliffs down to the ocean below, starting about 2km from the Rainbow Beach Surf Club.

They are formed by layers of sediment in the sand becoming exposed due to coastal winds. The colours are even better after a windy or rainy period.

Wolf Rock Scuba Dive

Wolf Rock really is the land of the giants; Grey Nurse Sharks are found throughout the year with other frequent visitors to the Rock including Manta Rays, Leopard Sharks, Eagle Rays, Blotched Fan Tail Rays, Sea Turtles, Olive Sea Snakes, Giant Queensland Grouper and in the winter, the Humpback Whale!

Fraser Island

K'gari stretches over 123 kilometres in length and 22 kilometres at its widest point. With an area of 184 000 hectares it is the largest sand island in the world.

K'gari's World Heritage listing ranks it with Australia's Uluru, Kakadu and the Great Barrier Reef.
